Eva Mazzucco - Austria

My name is Eva Mazzucco. I was born in Strobel. There are a lot of scenes there, and it is very beautiful there. I was in gymnasium (school) in Salzburg, and after the war (WWII), I was in a painting school in the wood, because I wanted always to be an artist.

As a child I always made by myself a book. I was always working, always drawing, and they all said, “Yes, you must go into the Academy. You are artist.” And all my parents, the grandfather, they were all artists. And so I went into the Academy. I learned sculpture. I learned also graphics and painting, which I already said, in Salzburg.

I am very glad for this. I had no job. It was very hard to make this all without money, but I am an idealist. I want, in any case, to make the “artificial” things.

Now I am elder elder, and I am very glad that I made this, and I have lot of works, and I want to work until I am one hundred years old!
